Border collie Brownie survives an avalanche and looks for his master for 6 days

Brownie, a cute Border Collie living in a small town in the Italian Alps, lost his master 6 days ago, when the man was killed by an avalanche while backcountry skiing on the slopes near his hometown, in Trentino Alto Adige. The body of the man was found around 2.30 am: too dangerous on the still unstable snow, and in the middle of the night, for the rescuers to keep searching for Brownie, so they left assuming that the border collie had been killed by the avalanche as well. And yet, earlier today, 6 days later, the dog was spotted by Patrik Serafini, a skier that countless times before had crossed the dog and his master on those slopes: Brownie was skinny and visibly hungry, but relentlessly looking around for his master where he had disappeared under meters of snow. "I couldn't believe it. Seeing the dog coming towards me was an incredibly strong emotion" says Serafini, who fed Brownie his lunch and took him home.
